Thomas E. Pollard, 77, of Tappahannock departed this life on Tuesday, March 17 in a Richmond hospital.
He leaves to cherish his memories, one son, Thomas L. Pollard (Felicia), one daughter, Juanita D. Pollard, six grandchildren: Dameon (Chauntae), Damarius, Paris, Carlton, Aaron and Jay; seven great-grandchildren: Ta’Jai, Israel, Isaiah, Sierra, Amir, Camora and Amiya; one great-great granddaughter, D’Miriah, four sisters: Dorothy Jackson, Delia Johnson, Valarie White and Margie Pollard; two brothers: James Ransome (Theresa) and Charles Ransome (Audrey); two aunts: Emma Ruth Fauntleroy and Bert Dowe; one great-aunt, Leanna Martin, three aunts-in-law: Ann Howard, Mary Miller and Eva Berry; one uncle-in-law, Moses Golden, one brother-in-law, George L. Golden, Sr. (Viola), four sisters-in-law: Cynthia Golden, Mary Golden, Beatrice Pollard and Pamela Pollard; one god-daughter, Kwanshala Johnson, a very devoted friend for over 60 years, David Baughan Sr. and a special friend, Frances Hickman. He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many many friends.
The viewing will be held on Saturday, March 21 from 12 noon – 5 p.m. at Washington Funeral Home, 1404 Tappahannock Blvd., Tappahannock. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 22 at 12 noon at Mr. Pollard’s residence, 2519 Latanes Mill Rd., Tappahannock. The interment will be in the Beulah Baptist Church cemetery, 2007 Latanes Mill Rd, Tappahannock. Rev. Floyd Johnson, officiating. Apostle Dr. Russell B. Smith, Eulogist.
