Sylvia Vanay (Pitts) Taylor

Sylvia Vanay Taylor, 60, of Tappahannock departed this life on Oct. 31 in a Richmond hospital.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth A. Taylor of Tappahannock, a daughter, Heather V. Henry of Hustle, her father, James E. Pitts of Texas, three sisters: Cynthia A. Blagmon and Patricia M. Pitts both of Tappahannock and Lisa D. Coston of Dunnsville; a brother, Robert Johnson of Fredericksburg and a granddaughter, Keimya V. Corbin of Norfolk.

The viewing will be held on Sunday, Nov. 10 from 3-5 p.m. at Washington Funeral Home, 1404 Tappahannock Blvd., Tappahannock. The funeral service will be held on Monday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church, 342 Johnville Rd., Dunnsville. The interment will be in the church cemetery.
