Shirley Constance Ransome, 83, of Washington, DC formerly of Tappahannock departed this life on May 1.
She is survived by two sons: Warren Ransome and Lloyd Ransome both of Washington, DC; two grandsons: Latney Harriday of Gaithersburg, Maryland and Larry Brooks of Charleston, South Carolina; two granddaughters: Jackie Brooks of Charleston, South Carolina and Tiffanie Andrews of Washington, D.C.; four great grandchildren: Moni, Javon, Skye and Zy’n of Charleston, South Carolina and five sisters: Jean Lucas of Tappahannock, Evelyn Wood (Richard) of Washington, DC, Ernestine Johnson (Mack) of Woodbridge and Doris and Lois Richardson both of Washington, DC.
A viewing will be held on Friday, May 8 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Washington Funeral Home, Tappahannock. The graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 9 at 11 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, Champlain. Rev. Daniel A. Goodall, Pastor.
