Patricia Johnson Holmes

Patricia Holmes, 83, of Dunnsville departed this life on Friday, August 23, 2024.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, James R. Holmes, Sr.; her son, James R. Holmes, Jr. and his wife, Joyce Robb-Holmes; her daughter, Karen Holmes Dabney and her husband, Alan Dabney, Sr.; four grandchildren, Stephen Holmes (Kelsey), Lauren Price (Jay), Austin Holmes, and Alan Dabney, Jr. (Aubrey); five great-grandchildren, Lael Holmes, Taylor Price, Azel Holmes, Alan Dabney III, and Jair Holmes; a brother Wilbert Johnson and two stepbrothers Stanley Wright and Ladell Wright, two sisters-in-law: Pauline Banks (Prince) and Edna Skinner (Charles); five great-grandchildren: Taylor Price, Lael Holmes, Azel Holmes, Alan Dabney III and Jair Holmes. In addition to ten nieces, Shawnda Johnson was a devoted and loving niece who cared deeply for her aunt. Thirteen nephews, five Godchildren, a host of great-nieces and nephews, and other relatives and extended family.

The viewing will be held on Thursday, September 5th from 4:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. There will be moments for reflection and prayer from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Angel Visit Baptist Church, Dunnsville, Virginia. The funeral service will be officiated by Rev. Dr. Carla E. Lightfoot, Pastor on Friday, September 6th at 1:00 p.m. (viewing 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.). The interment will be in the church cemetery.
