Mary Martin Roane

Mary Martin Roane, 86, of St. Stephens Church departed this life on August 14 at VCU/MCV Medical Center in Richmond.

She is survived by seven daughters: Sylvia Smith of St. Stephens Church, Evelyn Moore (Ronald) of Champlain, Barbara Bundy of Williamsburg, Mary Johnson (Oliver), Wanda Reynolds (Melvin) and Tammy Roane all of Tappahannock and Phyllis Redmond (William) of Montross and one son, Ruben Roane of St. Stephens Church.

The viewing will be held on Friday, August 19 from 4-6 p.m. at Washington Funeral Home, Tappahannock. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 20 at 12 noon at First Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Newtown. The interment will immediately follow the service in the First Union Baptist Church cemetery, Tappahannock.
