LaFon Deneatra King

LaFon Deneatra King, 48, of Waldorf, MD formerly of Newtown, departed this life on October 16, 2022.

She is survived by two daughters: Alicyne King-Washington and Asa Sturtevant and a grandson, Tayvon Lee Minor Jr., all of Richmond; her father, John R. Brooks Sr. (Burnestine) of Tappahannock, a sister, Johnetta Brooks Keeve of Waldorf, MD and three brothers: Anthony Brooks (Deborah) of Fredericksburg, John Brooks Jr. of Baltimore, MD and Ramone Brooks Sr. of Waldorf, MD.

A viewing will be held on Friday, October 28 from 4-6 p.m. at Jerusalem Baptist Church, 21180 Bagby Rd., Sparta. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 29 at 12 noon at Central High School, 17024 The Trail, King and Queen Courthouse. The interment will be in the Jerusalem Baptist Church cemetery.
