Godfrey Elton Candia

Godfrey Elton Candia, 72, of Pennsville, NJ gained his heavenly wings on January 1, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents: James Thomas Candia Sr. and Virgina Robinson Candia, brothers: James Thomas Candia Jr and Robert Candia and sisters: Velma Lassiter and Ruby Matilda Easton.

He is survived by his two daughters: Yitika Harris and LaTonya Harris (Jonah); grandchildren, Amya, Amani and Josiah.

He was a loving father and grandfather. He was a man of much wisdom, an encourager with a quick wit and always willing to help others. Laughter and love shared with family and friends were sources of great joy.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 12 at Washington Funeral Home, 1404 Tappahannock Blvd., Tappahannock, VA. The funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Union Hope Baptist Church, 4573 Rock Spring Rd., Center Cross, VA.
