Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, friend and companion. Garnette C. Chinault, 79, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Garnette was born on December 21, 1942 and grew up in Farnham, VA. She enjoyed spending time with her family, many friends and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her daughter, Cathy Lambert (Michael); two granddaughters, McKenna Atkinson (Jon), Peyton Lambert and two great grandchildren Michael and Marilyn Atkinson. Her brother, Johnny Dodson (Shirley); sisters, Doris Headley, Patty Brooks (Floyd), Charlotte Cash (Tommy), Mary Anderson (Matthew) and long time and devoted companion Walter Ambrose of Tappahannock, VA.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel G. Chinault; parents, William and Ruth Dodson and brother Russell Dodson.
No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a private celebration of life service is scheduled
