Emmett William Gardner, 85, of Champlain departed this life on June 13 in a Mechanicsville hospital.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Gardner, two daughters: Carolyn Melinda Reynolds (James) of Fredericksburg and Arlene Gardner Peyton (Darrell) of North Carolina and a son Andre’ Gardner of Hustle, a brother, Moscoe Gardner (Linda) of Tappahannock, four sisters: Gloria Fortune (Robert) of Hustle, Delphine Johnson (Malchia) of Loretto, Peggy Thomas of Newport News and Mary R. Gardner of Champlain.
The viewing will be held on Saturday, June 20 from 9:30 – 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 5338 Tidewater Trail, Loretto, where the funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. The interment will be in the church cemetery.
