Ellen Elaine Smith

Ellen Elaine Byrd Smith departed this life on April 19 at her residence.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Smith, two sisters: Mary Clarke of Champlain and Viola Byrd of Tappahannock and two brothers: Stanley Byrd of Tappahannock and Ralph Jones (Ella) of Prince George.

The viewing will be held on Friday, April 25 from 4-6 p.m. at Washington Funeral Home, Tappahannock. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 26 at 2 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church, 155 St. John Church Rd., Tappahannock. The interment will immediately follow the service in the New Liberty Baptist Church cemetery, Milford.
