Dorothy M. Jackson

Dorothy M. Jackson, 86, of Tappahannock departed this life on Nov. 25 in a Mechanicsville hospital.

She is survived by three daughters: Cora Jackson Robinson (James) of Newark, DE, Darlene Lewis and Valerie Taylor (Alex) all of Tappahannock, a son, Theodore Jackson (Diane) of Hustle, two sisters: Delia Norman Johnson of Tappahannock and Linda Ransome of Delaware and two brothers: James Ransome of New Jersey and Charles Ransome of Pennsylvania.

The viewing will be held on Friday, Dec. 8 from 3-5 p.m. at Washington Funeral Home, 1404 Tappahannock Blvd., Tappahannock. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 11 a.m. in the auditorium of Essex High School, 833 High School Circle, Tappahannock. The interment will be in the Lewis Family Cemetery, 4730 Richmond Highway, Tappahannock.
