Daniel Ray Holmes, Sr.

Daniel Ray Holmes Sr., 56, of King & Queen, departed this life on February 26 in a Mechanicsville hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Alesia Holmes, his mother, Mernice Young of King George, one daughter, Demetrise R. Johnson (Eric) of Henrico, two sons: Daniel Ray Holmes, Jr. of Henrico and Dustin R. Holmes (Priscilla) of Richmond; one sister, Ellen Burno (Tony) and a brother, Gerald Holmes (Sheila).

The viewing will be held on Thursday, March 4 from 3-5 p.m. at Washington Funeral Homes, 1404 Tappahannock Blvd., Tappahannock. The graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, March 5 at 12 noon at First Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 7820 Newtown Rd., Newtown. Rev. Drucilla Pollard, Pastor.
