Clara Marie Tompkins

Clara Marie Tompkins, 77, of DeSha departed this life on March 27 in a local hospital.

She is survived by two sons: Robert Tompkins and Kenneth Tompkins both of Tappahannock; a sister, Lorraine Payne of Caroline and a brother, James Pierce of King William.

The viewing will be held on Friday, April 4 from 4-6 p.m. at Washington Funeral Home, 1404 Tappahannock Blvd., Tappahannock. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 5 at 2 p.m. at Union Hope Baptist Church, 4573 Rock Spring Rd., Center Cross. The interment will be in the church cemetery.
