Charles Winslow Baytop

Charles W. Baytop, 95, departed this life on January 12, 2021.  Mr. Baytop was residing at The Orchard Rehab Center in Warsaw, Virginia at the time of his passing.

Breeze or Cool Breeze, as he was sometimes called, was born in Middlesex County, on June 21, 1925.  He was the youngest son of the late Charlie W. and Harriett Tabb Baytop.

He was the husband of the late, Rebecca Leola Easley Baytop and the father to Sabrina B. Latimore (Randolph), Demetrius T. Baytop (Carla) and Sophronia T. Baytop.  He was the grandfather to Danielle P. Latimore (Aubrey, deceased) and Dr. Randolph Latimore, Jr. (Hector).

Due to COVID-19, a private military ceremony will be held at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia, Virginia at 3 PM on January 25, 2021.

The family would like to thank Mr. Baytop’s caregivers, Ms. Nannie Harris and Ms. Dayle Fauntleroy for their devotion and dedicated service to their father during his time of illness.  Mr. Baytop was provided with impeccable care during his period of illness from Tappahannock Riverside Hospital and The Orchard; for this, the family is thankful.
