Annie Gertrude Thompson

Annie Gertrude Thompson, 83, of Tappahannock departed this life on June 13 at her residence.

She is survived by her husband, John E. Thompson, Jr., a son, Gwarthney Harvey (Susan) of Savannah, GA, a daughter, Tonya Thompson of Temple Hills, MD and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

The viewing will be held on Saturday, June 21 from 5-7 p.m. at Washington Funeral Home, 1404 Tappahannock Blvd., Tappahannock. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 22 at 1 p.m. at First Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 7820 Newtown Rd., Newtown. The interment will be in the church cemetery.
