Essie Gwathmey Obituary

Essie Braxton Gwathmey, 102, of Aylett departed this life on Saturday, August 26 at her residence.

She is survived by three daughters: Saundra G. Taylor of Aylett, Maurice E. Gwathmey and Uarda G. Barnes both of Richmond and three sons: Roscoe A. Gwathmey, Jr. of Aylett, Charles H. Gwathmey and Spencer G. Gwathmey both of Richmond.

The viewing will be held on Friday, September 7 from 6-8 at St. Paul Baptist Church, Aylett, where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 8 at 1 p.m. Rev. Robert D. Brown, Pastor.
